Fresh Injury Woe for Becks

David Beckham is a major doubt for England's crucial Euro 2008 qualifiers against Israel and Russia after picking up a knee injury during LA Galaxy's latest match.
The former England captain appeared to jar his right knee in a challenge during the first half of the MLS club's Superliga final defeat by Mexican side Pachuca.

The 32-year-old limped off the pitch in pain and had his knee heavily bandaged after being immediately substituted.
Early indications suggest the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star - who needs just three caps to reach his international century - is likely to be sidelined for six to eight weeks.
That means Beckham would miss England's home qualifiers with Israel on September 8 and Russia four days later.
On the club front he has already missed eight of Galaxy's 12 games since he arrived in Los Angeles in July.
Meanwhile, before suffering his latest injury, Beckham claimed he would be fitter than at previous tournaments should Steve McClaren's side reach next summer's European Championship finals in Austria and Switzerland.
"If we do qualify, I'll be a lot more rested than people playing in the Premier League," he told the Daily Express.
"That is a big advantage of being in the USA where the fixture calendar is different.
"It's also the advantage of the shorter season from April to October here.
"If we make it to the finals, I will be a lot fresher going into games."

ARSENAL - Gallas sidelined for three weeks
The defender, 30, went down in agony off after hurdling a challenge from Roque Santa Cruz in the first half of Sunday's 1-1 draw.
He immediately called for assistance from the bench before hobbling off to be replaced by Philippe Senderos.
Manager Arsene Wenger said: "He has done his groin. He will be out for three weeks."
He is set to miss the second leg of their Champions League tie with Sparta Prague, which the Gunners lead 2-0, and Premier League games against Manchester City and Portsmouth.
But the club will be hopeful of him returning in time for the north London derby against Tottenham on 15 September.
Gallas missed three months of last season after his move from Chelsea to Arsenal.
The Frenchman only started 21 league games after joining the Gunners in part exchange for Ashley Cole during the summer transfer window.

Rooney out for two months

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is unlikely to play again until mid-October after suffering a fractured foot in Sunday's goalless draw against Reading at Old Trafford.
The club have confirmed that the 21-year-old will spend two months on the sidelines with the injury.
The news means that the former Everton star will miss England's Euro 2008 qualifiers against Israel and Russia in September and could also be struggling to feature in the October games against Estonia and Russia.
Rooney missed three months after suffering a foot injury in 2004 but made a quicker recovery from a similar injury just before the start of last summer's World Cup finals in Germany.
Rooney suffered his latest injury when Reading defender Michael Duberry accidentally stood on his foot and he had to be replaced for the second half.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson could now hand a debut to Argentina international Carlos Tevez for Wednesday night's trip to Portsmouth.
"Carlos Tevez is available now and Louis Saha and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are training," Ferguson told United's official website.
"I was considering using Carlos at Portsmouth anyway but, obviously, he will come into our thoughts even more now."
